Breaking news out of Allen Park as the Detroit Lions fire defensive backs coach Aubrey Pleasant.

The Lions fired defensive backs coach Aubrey Pleasant after being torched for 382 yards Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. It was first reported by the David Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Pleasant was part of the staff that head coach Dan Campbell brought in 2021. The problem has not been the offense. The Lions have the 9th best in the NFL. It’s the defense that has not played well.. Teams are scoring 73% of the time on the Lions in the Red Zone, the third worst in the NFL.

The Lions led for more than 40 minutes of the game against the Dolphins, but Tua Tagovailoa torched them fpr almost 400 yards through the air. That was enough for Campbell to pull the trigger.
