Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown continues to be a shining star.

Day after day the name, Amon-Ra St. Brown, appears at the top of more lists. The wide receiver is absolutely dominating the league. His most recent accomplishment: leading all wide receivers for yards after the catch with 141.

St. Brown has 23 receptions for 253 yards and 3 touchdowns, averaging 11 yards per reception this season. He also has 2 carries for 68 yards, averaging 34 yards per carry. His 23 receptions through week 3 puts him at number four for the most wide receiver receptions across the NFL.

The week 2 matchup against the Washington Commanders was St. Brown’s most notable game.  Not only did his performance earn him NFC Offensive Player of the Week, he also set a new NFL record in this game for producing 6-straight games with 8+ receptions and a touchdown.

St. Brown and his brother, Equanimeous, are the only two players in the NFL with a rush of 30+ yards and a reception of 30+ yards this season.  Equanimeous is a wide receiver for the Chicago Bears. The two train together with their father, who was a two-time Mr. Universe winner back in the 1980s.

Injury Update

More and more accomplishments keep coming in for St. Brown despite a recent injury that may bench him for a short period of time.  He injured his ankle during the 28-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. While the injury didn’t take him out of the game, it noticeably reduced his touches.

St. Brown reportedly underwent tests Monday on the ankle injury, and the results were encouraging.  If he has to take any time off, it’s not expected to be long-term.

The Detroit Lions take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Ford Field at 1pm EST.
