Coaches Comments

Following the game, Head Coach Derek Lalonde had glowing remarks about James Reimer’s display and the performance of the Red Wings’ recent acquisitions.

He was the difference in the first. Not a very good period for us.  We gave up some really easy looks for him in the slot. He just made some huge saves, very fortunate to come out of the period one nothing. Give the guys credit. We really buckled it down and went a much better second and third. Got a really good road win. And, as far as the offense goes, four different scorers again tonight. The offense getting spread around.

Detroit heads home to face Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins Wednesday night at Little Caesars Arena with a 7:30 puck drop.
