Carter Hart Shuts Down Red Wings’ at LCA

93

Philadelphia Flyers’ Carter Hart stole the show in their 2-1 win over the Red Wings at LCA. Hart, who had 30 saves came up huge on multiple occasions throughout the game. Including an unreal save on Lucas Raymond as time expired to steal the victory.

Detroit outshot the Flyers 31 to 25. Red Wings lone goal was scored by Lucas Raymond with 41 seconds remaining. Raymond now has nine points in his last seven games.

Red Wings’ Takeaways

  • Jonatan Berggren’ needs to be in the top six. There is no reason after the production we’ve seen come from him thus far he should be stuck on the 4th line. With Detroit being so inconsistent as of late scoring wise, why are we seeing guys that generate offensive chances minutes decrease?
  • Michael Rasmussen has seen so many scoring opportunities recently meanwhile hasn’t been able to capitalize. Although I love what Ras’ brings physicality wise. I believe pairing him alongside Andrew Copp and David Perron isn’t the right move. The line itself has done great puck possession wise. However, they get burned out easily and having no speed between the three of them is a liability at times.
  • In a game where there wasn’t many positive takeaways. It’s great to see that Moritz Seider along with Lucas Raymond are continuing to stride out of their early slumps. Mo’ especially looks as if he is gaining more confidence each game. Not to mention, Raymond has been lighting up the stat sheet as of late.
